This hobby requires adult supervision. Lipo batteries can be dangerous. The vehicle will need parts often (maybe daily depending on amount of abuse). The vehicle speed can leave a mark ( running in to the neighbors kid) etc

Run 2s batteries and limit power and you'll never break anything on an Arrma. 3s and you will for sure.

Everything else is accurate.. you can really hurt someone even with this small rc car at 40mph.

If you don't need the battery an charger, the same car is but cheaper without those items. Also on sale. Arrma is a great brand.

I have 5 grandsons. The oldest is 4. The one vehicle I will hand them without concern is my Traxxas trx4m and currently replacing a stripped ring gear. It held up great for awhile. Longer than I expected but if you possess no skills to repair these things the hobby will be short lived.

I have the granite grom and love it, but also think I would like this a little better. The groms are such a blast.

Where is the one without a battery cheaper, I see the one without battery being $210.00

I have 3 of the 1:8 scales (the big brother to this) and they are awesome. My boys and I got them for Christmas.

naw they are incorrect. the msrp is cheaper for the ones without a battery or charger. this one comes with it and is a great deal. these brushless ones comes with upgraded parts over the brushed model besides different esc and motors like all metal diffs, metal shocks.

Nothing against this RC at all (I own one), but even with just a 2S, the kids are likely to break this thing every time it goes out. Axles, gears, control arms, shock towers... Be prepared to get comfortable with replacing parts often. Just the nature of the hobby, especially with kids driving. If you don't break it, you're not playing hard enough.
