Way better in my opinion. Had many of both Motorola and Samsungs (Power, Plays, A15 A16 ect) in this price range and the Samsungs run way smoother even though in many cases the specs on paper are better on the Rolas.

Great deal for a backup phone, kept in drawer... There, in event your primary is lost, stolen, broken. At the end of the year, eBay the unlocked A16 for what you paid for it, or a couple dollars more.

BTW... I've read that the A16 gets 6 years of OS updates from Samsung.

Porting is for bringing in a new number from outside of Tracfone.
If you're just activating a new phone with a current TF account it's not porting and as long as you activate it correctly by keeping your current number there shouldn't be a problem.

dude, you went from the A15 which has a very good camera to the Power 2024 which has a poor camera? I had both. The cameras on these Moto's are one of their glaring weak spots, especially with the jello effect video.

4GB is NOT enough in 2026. Android uses nearly 3GB alone. Using the CALCULATOR is enough for this phone to start dumping background data. My 8 year old phone with 6GB of ram operates significantly smoother than this E-waste A16 4GB of a phone.

you might be correct, they messed up the storage spec. It's really 128GB of internal storage (expandable up to 1.5TB via microSD), in the fine print.

I'm in for one, could probably swap my Safelink tracfone sim in it if needed. I have Galaxy S23+ renewed that I always close tabs on anyway. 4GB RAM isn't a deal killer if that's the case.

To transfer back to old phone you go under manage lines then click inactive old phone and click activate and keep number again it will send text to A16 to transfer it back

No need to talk to anyone they will just mess your account up.

Thanks, I just ordered 3 for my wife, I and our son. This is a great deal for us. It gives us an additional year of service. We'll also be upgrading from Adreno 610 Moto G. We will get 5G on these new ones, which will allow my son to use the phone when he goes to Germany. (current one wouldn't work) Storage will double from 64GB to 128GB. Charging goes from 15W to 25W. Android 14 to Android 16. IPS display to AMOLED. 270ppi to 385ppi. Resolution from 720x1600 pixels to 1080x2340 pixels. 500 nits brightness to 824 nits, so it will be easier to see the new one in broad daylight. Multi core cpu score will increase by 33%. 3Dmark score increases from 641 to 1,385. The only thing I don't like is that the Galaxy A16 doesn't have a headphone jack, but I can get a USB C adapter. Overall, it looks like a really decent upgrade, and I sort of feel like I'm getting it free, just paying for a year of service.
