I got it for $10 at Christmas from Best Buy. What the critics said about the fun action combat is true. What the fanboys said about the weak writing and weak story is true. I had fun with it, especially once I started skipping most of the dialogue. The gameplay/combat loop was fun and there was a good variety of enemies. It's not a deep tactical game like the others in the series, it's more of an action game.

Agreed on this. I think it's best for newcomers, and fun for older players IF you can forgive them wiping away most of the story from Inquisition. For me, it felt like a small contained sequel similar to Dragon Age 2, with a lot of the sane pros and cons. Worth trying out at sub-$20, not sure it's worth the full asking price.

Hard disagree mate. The writing is atrocious, which negates dialogue/rpg elements, and the gameplay was bland as it was clearly being built to be a live service game, then repurposed for offline play. Character models were also dumbed down to a corny generic mobile rpg vs the dark aesthetic of the previous entries. Horrible what they did here.

The game is getting an update for PS5 Pro today, and will eventually get a similar patch on Xbox Series X. Apparently it improves how to game runs on the Pro, it speeds up load times, and increases the frame rate, while making the graphics look slightly better.

Is it... rm * -rf or format c:? Those are the 2 best patches so far.
