Why do these electric bikes pretend to be motorbikes or off road bikes. Noisy tires and drag.

Bought one of these in January. It works great. It's got a cruiser riding position, the built in storage is a great feature, the 48v battery lasts longer than my daughter's 36v dirt bike style e bike, the seat height is nice and low so it's easy to flat foot it. Note this isn't the same as the Gotrax Ranger, the Ranger has a 500w nominal wattage, the R7 has a 750w nominal wattage. The other difference is that the Ranger has hydraulic brakes while the R7 is mechanical brakes. Three cons: no rear suspension, it's got a bell and no horn which is fixable with a $15 rechargeable horn from Amazon, the last con is no rear blinkers. Other than that it's great, the grips are super comfy, the seat is very comfy too, and riding position is the best.

How does this compare to the one they selling on Sam's? 15.5mph with 19 miles range? Will it be better choice if I don't need the range of this bike?
