If you are brand agnostic for your car remotes, 3 for $1.50 at Dollar Tree.

Well, some have a coating on them that prevents them from working with AirTags out of the box, it looks like this one does.

My kids have loads of random junk that uses CR2032, CR2025, CR2016 etc.. Periodically I just go to digikey, eat the ~$7 shipping cost and stock up on batches of 20+ panasonic coin cells. They're dirt cheap at that number (think < 30c a piece).
(Also a great place to stock up on ESP32s + related components, if you're into that stuff)

I actually started buying a variety of button batteries ranging from brand name < - > generic. Depending on the use, I'll choose which one I want because I discovered that the generic ones could not light up one of my emergency lights as well as the brand name ones could. I used to think it was all the same until I put the generic ones in my emergency light. 🤯.
I have three groups: Big name brands (Energizer, Duracell), Decent and inexpensive (Acdelco), and generic (misc)
