Nothing is better than lush, green grass. Scotts® Turf Builder® Lawn Food feeds and strengthens your grass to help protect against future problems. This fertilizer also builds strong, deep roots and improves the lawn's ability to absorb water and nutrients (vs. unfed lawn). Scotts® Turf Builder® Lawn Food can be used on any grass type. Apply the product to a wet or dry lawn. We recommend using a Scotts® spreader to apply this product. For Scotts® broadcast/rotary spreaders, use a setting of 3 ½. For Scotts® drop spreaders, use a setting of 6 ½. For Scotts® Wizz®, use a setting of 3 ¾. If fast results are desired, lightly water the product in after application; however, watering is not required. Return unused product to original container, and sweep any product that lands on the driveway, sidewalk, or street back onto your lawn. One 12.5 lb. bag of Scotts® Turf Builder Lawn Food covers 5, 000 sq. ft. Scotts Turf Builder Lawn Food 12.5-lb 5000-sq ft 32-0-4 All Purpose Lawn Fertilizer one_size | 22305

Scotts Turf Builder Lawn Food is showing up as a clearance fertilizer for fall feeding, with prices ranging from about $6.32 to $10.17 for the 5,000 square foot bag and around $16 to $17 for the 15,000 square foot size. The bags are described as fresh or clean in some stores, and the product has no weed control, which makes it better suited for separate targeted weed treatment. A few locations still show stock in the back or on clearance, while others have moved back to full price or have none left. Some bags are clumpy or damp on the outside, so condition matters.
Buyers near stores with the lower markdown, because several locations showed $6.32 pricing and the deal still held at some stores.
Shoppers covering a big yard on a clearance run, because the 15,000-square-foot bags were found around $16 to $17 and the smaller bags were marked $10.17.
Homeowners feeding established lawns in fall, because the fertilizer is being used for fall feedings and the 15,000-square-foot bags cover large areas.
Gardeners who want a straight lawn fertilizer without weed control, because this product has no weed control and can be paired with targeted weed products separately.
Reported prices range from about $6.32 to $12.07 depending on location, with some stores showing $10.17 clearance and others still at regular pricing around $13.97. The deal appears to be store-specific and may have ended in some locations.
Availability varies by store, and some locations still had stock in clearance or in the back while others had already returned to full price or showed no inventory. It may be worth checking multiple nearby stores or asking staff to look in back stock.
It has no weed control; it is a straight lawn fertilizer. That makes it better for general feeding and for avoiding unintended damage to trees or nearby plants, while weed control should be handled separately with targeted products.
Some bags have been reported as slightly moist on the outside or clumpy, but not gummy. The product is still considered a good buy if the granules remain dry and free-flowing inside the bag.
$6.32 at my local store. I can read the label, but I'm guessing this is a weed n feed? Comparable to Scott's Step 2?
Same price here. I was able to get it at this price but a courteous staff who was assisting me said it was a price mistake.
Update: Perhaps it's not a mistake but a steep clearance. If it was a mistake, they would've corrected by now but the lower price still holds for certain locations. I decided to head back and add a few more to the stock.
Interesting note is they said they received a pallet of 50 this morning and it looked fresh (wrapped in plastic and clean packaging with no dust) as if they were shipped from the manufacturer. It did not appear to be old invetory.

No weed control in this one. Which is overall better for your trees based on what I've read elsewhere. Weed control is best done separately with specific products that you can apply only in the areas where it is most needed.
I was at Lowes yesterday to pickup an item and I saw these bags of fertilizer in the clearance area of my Lowes inside the store. They were marked $10.17. I didn't check the garden area though.

The fertilizer can be found at much lower in-store prices in some locations, including $6.32.
Some stores reportedly offer 15,000-sq-ft bags around $16 to $17, which can stretch coverage for fall feedings.
Fresh-looking pallets reportedly arrived plastic-wrapped and clean, which can reduce concerns about old inventory.
The product reportedly contains no weed control, which can be helpful for tree-focused plans that use separate weed treatment.
Store pricing reportedly varies by location, so the $10.17 deal may not match every Lowe's shelf tag.
Bag condition can be inconsistent, because some bags reportedly come clumpy or slightly moist outside.
Availability can be limited, since some nearby locations reportedly show the lower price but have no stock.
The clearance pricing reportedly may end, since at least one store location later showed full price again.

Few of my stores our regular price and couple of them are $13.97.
