I got this deal a week or 2 ago. My membership expired end of January . I really thought it was fake initially. 5$ wha no waaayyy! It worked! I honestly was not going to renew bjs I've been a Sam's member in the recent past and want to rejoin and also a Costco member but for 5$ I couldn't pass it up. In my experience fuel is normally a few cents cheaper at bjs and bjs sells alcohol where Sam's and Costco does not . For 5$ if I make 3 trips there this year it's probably worth it.

Mine expired Jan 31st, but the deal didn't show up for me. Still $60. They carried a few items I couldn't find at Sams or Costco, so I was going to try it again, and their location is convenient for gas too when I'm in that area.
I just hate the games they play. They give you the discount for your NEXT visit...not the current one. Even on their home page right now it says: Spend $150 and get $15! But you have to spend $150 now until April 5th...but then you have to come BACK in order to use the $15 digital coupon. And you can only use it between Apr 9 - 19th.
They know a huge percentage of people won't come back during that window, or they'll forget to use it, and it pushes up their per customer order to $150. It's shady. Personally, I didn't see enough value in going there, even without the games.
