This is the exact Storage device that I use for my eufy security camera system. I have over 8 cameras (purchased separately) covering outside and inside areas.
I expanded my storage with a compatible 16TB HD (purchased separately) and employ continuous video storage 24/7 with easy playback. Reviewing every video is too time consuming for me. So I just use the eufy playback feature to review footage as needed.
I refuse to pay a monthly subscription fee to access my security video footage & that's why I chose Eufy.

I like the local indoor storage plan allows for much faster viewing as well as the cost.
I would not mind a reasonable yearly fee just to keep things up to date.

Eufy is releasing untested and BROKEN app and firmware updates. Makes the Homebase 3 and cameras useless. Stay away. Terrible support and abysmal engineers who don't have a clue. Google the latest February 28th update release fiasco. Save yourself hours/days/weeks of frustration.

I know this will be an unpopular comment, but its not worth it even at $50. It ate through 3 of my hard drives in less than 120 days. Thankfully Eufy refunded and enabled me to return, but you're much better off putting $50 into a mini-pc on facebook marketplace and just running frigate or opennas.
