I do recommend. I like it and it's my go to for headlamps, even though I have other, more expensive ones. (Like the Sofrin HS41)I really like the attachment design, as the silicone mount can be removed and placed on all manner of objects, like the shoulder strap of a backpack, allowing it to act as a sort of 90 degree hands-free light. The fact that it has a replaceable battery (that can be charged without removal) is also a great feature, enabling the headlight to still be fully functional even after the original battery loses juice, and also enabling extra batteries to be swapped out in rotation, allowing it to be used for long periods. The head strap is also pretty durable (although it's certainly the least durable part of the entire kit, which again makes the modular removable silicone mount such a great design feature, allowing the owner to swap out the head strap for a preferred one, or to replace the original if it gives out or becomes too stretched out. All of this is just my own experience and opinions of course. I've had mine for well over a year, probably closer to 2, and while I own nearly 10 flashlights from Sofrin, Wurkkos, and Streamlight (as well as some cheap Amazon ones) it has become my no-brainer among my head worn/fixed-mount options, and I've found that the battery provides plenty of duration without issue even when I'm using it (on med or high) for multiple hours. Hard to beat at $17 IMHO. Obligatory disclaimer: Not sponsored, no affiliation, bought with my own money; see profile for proof (proof of no marketing activity of any sort whatsoever)

Better to get this from AliExpress. It's under $14, and you can use a coupon to lower the price even more. Shipped from USA and free shipping ofc.

Price is cheap, but that tube like thing for the battery is making the whole thing bulky for night walks/ dog walks.
How so? I find it very balanced since the weight is almost entirely against your head and spread out.

I suppose there are "better" options for what you're indicating is an issue - smaller sealed units with non-replaceable rechargeable batteries, or lights where the battery is separated from the light and therefore distributed more evenly front and back - but I can't imagine wanting either of those options over the 18650 tube style. This is my go-to headlamp.

I have these same headlamps and they are phenomenal and hold charge. I might pick some up for future gifts.
