This adjustable dumbbell stand is mainly valued for making heavy lifts safer and easier on the back by keeping 60 plus pound dumbbells off the floor. The V shaped cradle helps with presses and drop sets, and it also speeds up weight changes while reducing bending, kneeling, and awkward returns to the floor. It fits several adjustable dumbbell lines, including Rep QuickDraw and FitRX XL, though some setups need a bent lip or minor tray overlap. The main tradeoff is that the listed 160 pound limit may be tight for heavier pairs, and the open rack can be a concern in a shared workout space.
people doing frequent drop sets with 50-60 lb adjustable dumbbells because the stand makes weight changes faster and reduces the need to kneel or reach down to the floor each time
home gym owners using Rep Fitness QuickDraw adjustable dumbbells because it fits them with a simple lip adjustment and makes it easier to return weights to the cradle without lifting them as high
lifters who regularly have to pick up heavy dumbbells (60+ lbs) from the floor because using the stand can reduce how often you lift those weights off the ground each set and may help protect the lower back
buyers who want a safety-focused setup for dumbbells because the weights can't just roll off and must be lifted up first, which also helps reduce tripping hazards from weights on the floor
people with limited space who want to organize gear around their dumbbells because the stand setup can include storage underneath (like kettlebells) and hanging accessories like a weight vest
households where small children sometimes access the workout area because the stand can give dumbbells more potential energy if they get into the area, which could seriously injure little people
owners of FitRX XL adjustable dumbbells if you're trying to stay within the stand's listed capacity because the combined weight (180+ lbs) is above the stand's 160-lb limit even though some commenters think it may still tolerate it
people who need a stand that fits FitRX XL dumbbells without any fit issues because one commenter said the cheaper FitRx SmartRack option was too small for their XL dumbbells
buyers who want a sturdier, more feature-complete stand with extras like casters and weight storage because a commenter who paid about twice the price for an eisenlink low stand said it had sturdier build quality and those added features
Yes. Alternatives mentioned include a FitRx SmartRack at $70 shipped, an Amazon stand around $60 with a strap, and even a dining bench or DIY setup for less. Some of those options add features like casters, storage, or more surface space.
It can fit Rep QuickDraw dumbbells with a small adjustment: bending the back edge or lip to accommodate the width. The V-shaped cradle also helps PowerBlocks by reducing how high you have to lift them out and making returns easier.
The stand can make heavy dumbbells much easier to handle by reducing floor lifts, kneeling, and bending during presses and drop sets. One setup with a screwed-down base was reported as not wobbling, and the stand is especially useful if you use it several times a week.
FitRx XL dumbbells totaling 180+ lbs were reported to work fine, with only a little tray overlap and no issues. That is above the stand's listed 160-lb limit, so it may fit in practice but is beyond the stated rating.
The stand keeps dumbbells from rolling on the floor and forces them to be lifted straight up before use, which can reduce awkward deadlifts from the ground. It also helps keep weights off the floor, where they can become tripping hazards for kids or others in the workout area.
I got these for the Rep Fitness Quickdraws and it's been great. Feels sturdy but like someone already mentioned here (and also in the reviews), you'll need to bend the lip to accommodate the width. Does make changing weights easier instead of having to bring weight to the floor for things like drop sets.
I built this stand for my Bowflex weights a few years ago, still going strong and I have space on the shelf below for other workout gear. Also probably only cost like $15 at home Depot.

Useful for PowerBlocks since they have an elastic cable that little puppies love to chew on. And with heavy weights, your back will thank you down the line.
Is the privilege to put your adj dumbbells on a rack like this over have them lying around on the floor worth $93?
I bought a stand with wheels for $69. I have 52lbs adjustable dumbbells. Now i don't have to reach all the way down to pick them up or kneel to change the weight so my drop down sets are much faster. The base is screwed to the stand so it's not wobbling around and anyone can move them around without lifting them. This is by far a much better experience in real life practice, I'd say they're worth $100, but only if used at least 3-4 times a week.

For those with limited space you can keep more items without using more space. Underneath mine are my kettle bells and hang my weight vest off the cross bar. Just keeps things more organized.
Sweet, I've been looking at these for my FitRX XL adjustable dumbbells, but couldn't stomach the price. Hopefully they're compatible, their combined weight of 180+ lbs is above this stand's listed limit but probably well within tolerance. Thanks for sharing!

My man. If you haven't already, get your hands on a little REP sticker to cover up the logo on this. Looks great. Also, get a paint pen for the numbers! Love QuickDraws.
