This deal has a dedicated graphics card for gaming and video editing. The best buy is more of a basic computing machine.

Depends on what you're looking for. Acer dedicated GPU for gaming. Asus has an iGPU, AI, better display and battery life.

Decent price considering 32gb RAM goes for $350 alone.

Seems like a good deal. The comparable machine was $800 a couple years back. Newer generation and minor upgrades at each spec. Not a huge fan of Acer, but they seem to work well enough.

An awesome deal! However, unless they have addressed the power cord issue this is a very HARD pass for me. If you don't know, the review for this model have not been good because Acer shipped a 130w power cord with it and that is the best you can do. It ends up in default mode draining while plugged in after a few hours (worse on turbo mode). I ended up passing on this to get an HP Victus that came with a 200w and has no issues running the 5060. I couldn't tell if they had fixed (can't find any specs on the PSU).

Will this model, the AC Adapter, meet the power demands during intense gaming? I read some Nitro models, even with AC - it can't keep up with the power consumption.

I bought a $999.00 gtx1060 acer gaming laptop in jan of 2018; i ran it all day, gamed and streamed to twitch on it, took it cross country, east coast to west, used it in multiple areas all thru Covid, and it was my main rig until aug 2024 when i built a tower for a bigger gpu. She still runs like the day i got her! I did a full teardown clean, and switched to liquid metal thermal paste, and bumped the ram to 32gb, and replace the battery in 2022, but everything still works, and im even using the original power brick. I'd buy from them again.

It doesn't and it has serius power draining issue in high performance modes while stressing the device, while plugged in. You can't even use a higher capacity charger with it as it i locked at 130W in BIOS.

I would pass on any 5050 or 5060 Acer Nitro series gaming laptops because of the power issue. This does not affect any of the Predator series laptops.
I'm typically a very big fan of Acer gaming laptops and have owned several (typing on a 4050 Predator Helios Neo 16 now). But what they did to this Nitro lineup is just wrong. You can't use the laptop to it's full design capacity without running down the battery while plugged in in you're running at Performance mode. This is insane. Worse yet, it's deliberate because people who have obtained larger capacity power supplies have not been able to eliminate this issue because of hardware limitations.
