Which of these products are good? Which ones are actually a good deal?

Is bitdefender better? I am very light user,no risky business at all. Using Microsoft default security on Windows 11

I found Malwarebytes a little annoying during regular use. Went back to ESET and it's been pretty good.

2 years 15 devices bitdefender seems quite good, but free avast almost meets everything for ordinary PC use cases.

I imagine I can't extend my current malwarebyte license if I buy this deal so how long can I hold on to the code without activating?

As a security expert I can attest that this is not really required to be safe online. However, to me, the true benefits are found when you use it for your less savvy family members. So many stories today about life savings lost etc. This seems to have some decent phishing protection on the android side, and with 15 licenses I can protect the in laws that I already am IT support for anyway. Just needs a remote help capability!

Bitdefender 100%. I have been using it for years. Bitdefender and ESET respect your privacy more than the rest of the list.

When you use a free product, you are the product...

well the truth is, even if you are a paid customer, they STILL do the same things as the free alternatives, maybe not to the same degree, but they do.

Be careful of people who are self-proclaimed "security experts."

A "security expert" would understand the meaning and danger of drive-by, watering hole and supply chain attacks, and not assume that they will never visit a site that contains any of these.

I work in security as well. I've been using Bitdefender for years and several times it has caught embedded content that was being pulled from a compromised site, as well as alerting me to my PII found on the dark web (not that this is a unique feature, but it's handy nonetheless.) Just do a basic web search for antivirus reviews 2026 and you will find that BD is consistently ranked near if not at the top of the list for detections and features, and people could do a lot worse than having this added protection at this excellent price.
