Campbell Soups bought them and are going to do the usual...cheapen the ingredients and use the name on everything they can think of until the value of the name is zero.

Since it's delivered by Amazon, which is the most crush-resistant pasta?

I'm digging Mezzetta pasta sauce lately. It's $6 a jar, but Kroger puts it on sale at 2 for $5 every few months and I stock up. Their regular marinara is better than anything Rao's puts out. Also, give DeLallo pasta a try and you'll throw rocks at Rao's pasta.

FWIW, for those with Publix near them, these are BOGO about once every six to eight weeks and it would be cheaper than this.

Bronze die extruded pasta usually runs about $2/lb regardless of brand, so while I wouldn't pay full price for this, this is a reasonable price.

Agree with the general sentiment on Raos pasta here though. There's not a whole lot you can do to dried pasta to make it notably better outside the extruding process to make it worth a premium.
