Best bet is to get liquid 2-4-D concentrate and spray it on. Look for "Crossbow." It should be around $30 at HD/Lowes and 32oz will make a total of about 20gallons...enough to cover about 4 acres. The equivalent coverage would require about 8 bags of this Scott's. So the cost would be almost $200 versus $30, plus the spray-on would be much more effective.
Community Reviews
Scotts Turf Builder Weed and Feed 3 is a granular weed killer and lawn feeder best suited for lawns where clover and dandelion control matters. It has worked well on some lawns, turning weeds brown and dried out, and the coverage can be attractive for larger yards. The main catch is that it is a post emergent product, not a pre emergent, and the granules need to stick to wet foliage or morning dew to work well. Some also question the weak 1.2 percent 2,4 D formula and note it may not be suitable for St. Augustine grass, so it fits best when the lawn type and timing line up.
Common Questions (4)
It can kill clovers and dandelions and may turn them brown or dried green-brown after treatment. It has also been reported to work well on some lawns, though one user said it had little impact in North Texas.
It is a post-emergent weed killer, not a pre-emergent. That means it is meant to treat weeds already up in the lawn rather than prevent new weeds from germinating.
The granules need to stick to weed leaves, so applying when the lawn has morning dew can help. If the lawn is dry, much of the product can fall to the ground instead of coating the weeds.
It reportedly should not be used on St. Augustine grass. If you have St. Augustine, it is worth checking the label carefully before applying.

I bought 8 45.26lb (now it's 33.9lbs?) bags couple years ago for $11 each.
Great SD deal.
I have had good luck with this product. Works well on my lawn. Does kill clovers and dandelions very well (turns them into dried green/brown color).
I would recommend them.
