Tend to use this one with greater frequency versus the m18 with the 16" bar

How well does this work? I have often wondered and never really knew anyone who had one.

It works great. It blows the m12 hatchet away. I regularly cut hedge and oak without any issues. I would definitely buy it again.

What are the main factors to choose between the M12 and M18 versions ? I've got manzanita (hard, twisty mostly < 3" branch desert shrubs). I have both batteries from other tools.

If you have hard wood, you'll want a bigger one.
