It also has no real built in solar capability. It can only handle 100 watts max solar out of the box. Which on a power station this capacity, is a trickle. Collecting 400 max Wh per day with perfect sunshine would still take close to a 3 days to charge ifrom zero to full. You have to buy their proprietary adaptors if you want more than that, and even then, it's still very limited not to mention expensive. There's much better options... especially if you ever plan on charging it with solar. In fact if you ever plan on charging with solar, you should skip this completely. They even use sneaky wording tricks in the advertising saying it can charge in 40 minutes via solar/car charging but thats because the super fast car charger, they upsell you for 300 dollars runs off the alternator and charges at 1000 watts. So 1000watts from the alternator, plus 100watts from a solar panel give you that 40 minute claimed charging time. Solar alone is literally just 100 watts max. DJI really dropped the ball on solar capability. The inverter number of 2600w sounds great, but in real world usage, if you actual needed 2600 watts from the inverter, it's capacity is going to limit you to about 15 minutes or less of actual runtime.

That sucks to hear because the form factor of this couldn't be more perfect for my camping SUV.

It does. I really like DJI as a company, they have a solid reputation for high quality products. I own a DJI mini 3 drone and I'd recommend it to anyone but unfortunately, they really dropped the ball when they designed this power station. Looks like really good drone companies aren't inherently really good power station designers. I'd suggest taking a good look at the OUPES Exodus 2400. It's about 60 bucks more than this, BUT... it's also over double the capacity, has 2 of the latest protocol 140watt (not shared but 140 each which is an important detail) USB C ports and has 800watts of solar input which is good enough to charge it from 0 to 100% in 3 hrs of good sunshine. Beyond that, it charges lightning fast (under 2hrs from 0 to 100%) with a regular, no adaptor needed AC electrical cord. I own this unit along with a couple other brands. I'd go as far as saying the Oupes was the best value dolkar for dollar. Over 2.2 kilowatt-hours of capacity & a 2400 watt inverter for $430 with a better-than-average overall feature set is about as good a deal as you're going find anywhere. It's not perfect, but for the price, It's probably as close to perfect as you're gonna get. https://slickdeals.net/f/19034842-oupes-exodus-2400-portable-power-station-2400w-2232wh-427-w-free-shipping?src=SDSearchv3&attrsrc=Thread%3AExpired%3AFalse%7CSearch%3AType%3Anormal%7CSearch%3ASort%3Arelevance%7CSearch%3AHideExpired%3Afalse
