The refurbs straight from Dyson are fantastic and in flawless condition. I bought a v8 absolute for $160 6 years ago and it's still working great. I bought a v15 last year for $325 and it's working just like new.

This. I was looking at the SV29's yesterday when they dropped the price to 239.99 from 279.99, and then this morning noticed the price jump up too 299.99 with a 20% discount. They are just moving the numbers around to see if it triggers a sale.

besides that, you may be charged the tax on the original price, rather than the sale price...

at least that's what i've noticed with amazon and their coupons.

Bought this last time from Dyson via Walmart and it looked brand new. Very impressed with it.

If you're buying it to vacuum rugs, I'd avoid it though. Even in the lowest setting the suction will either stop you in your tracks or take the rug with you

Got new Dyson and the plastic housing started cracking after a few years, can't complaint since it had been over 5 years but still the quality of plastic isn't great

We have two of dyson v8 and they are great. The batteries degraded so bad after 3-4 years and they were only running about a min with a full charge. That is when I bought two adapters and installed on each. Now, I use my ridgid batteries with them. They last much longer than new dyson battery would. I think dyson v10 version also has aftermarket battery adapters to use with ridgid, ryobi and other brands.

I have this model for a few years now and it's been great. Got it for the same price. I've been looking for a Dyson that's a step up / more battery life what's the next level up??

I bought this at Walmart and unit would keep turning off after running for a few seconds. Mind you this was band new. Support kept giving me the run around so I just returned it instead . I still bought this one lets see if I had better luck this time

There is a little height slider on the front of the head. Slide it over so it creates less suction and you'll be fine.

I got one of these a year ago for $240 and it's been working great. You can tell the dust bin has been used as it was slightly cloudy but everything was clean and all the accessories looked new.
