I'm upgarding from an ender 3 v2. give it to me straight. do i get a p1s combo and get this sunlu lid or get the p2s combo? my only concern is the p2s combo is not on sale and I'm not familiar how often bambu lab puts their full-priced stuff on sale.

I bought one shortly after these were announced. Other than the annoying pitch of the fans, I like it pretty well. A passive heater will only dry the first few layers on a roll. So as you do a long print the filament starts dry but as you unwind to the inner layers the moisture content creeps upward. With this heater, you can dry while you're printing so that those inner layers that become outer layers will be dry by the time they're pulled through the extruder.

get any combo with the AMS 2 TBH. These are for people who has had their AMS 1 for a long time and just want to upgrade it (without having to shell out 300 bux for an AMS 2)

P2s combo will probably be a while before it goes on sale as it was just released last fall. I have the p2s combo and it's a much better upgrade over the p1s.

I wish they had this for the AMS2 tbh. Not being able to dry while printing is extremely stupid.

If money isn't really a problem, go P2S combo. The usability and upgrades are pretty legit. The value you get on the current P1S pricing is undeniable, great if you primarily manage the filament etc through Bambu Studio or print farm software, but if you're a single printer setup tinkering or you plan to use the Handy app at all, just go P2S and call it done.

One of the reviews on Amazon say it can be used along with some kind of adapter. I don't know anything about it but might be enough for you to look into what might be needed if it's a viable solution.

No this isn't a stand alone dryer. It's basically just a new lid that you put on/trade with your bambu ams lid.
