These are great, but it's design absolutely kills your hands. Really wish they offered a horizontal model.

Been meaning to buy myself one of these for testing, but I'm always reminded of the R36S which I already own, lol...

Not true at all and is subjective. It is a vertical handheld with very nice buttons and analog sticks. It is super compact and I play it a couple hours at a time on flights without any discomfort. Even ps1 games which I remapped to use the analogs, like GT1 and 2, are absolutely fine. It obviously does not have a grip of a gamepad.

No, its hardware isn't capable of video out. You can connect BT or Wi-Fi dongle into its usb-c port though if you wish.

Depends on which you like. You are free to download anything you like from retro archive and put it on its microsd.

All I can share is my experience. And in my experience I can not play for more than 15 minutes without discomfort. My 12 year old has had the same experience. I wish I would have known/thought about comfort prior to purchasing. It is a bit better with a 3d printed grip.

For the price, the quality is surprisingly solid. Stock OS is decent and it's nice to just pick up and play. Just note it usually doesn't include Mario, Zelda, or Pokémon.
If you're keeping it long term, flash custom firmware and use a better SD card. Pan4Elec is a good option since most settings are already dialed in. Flash it, load your ROMs, and start playing.
Careful though, this can send you down the retro handheld rabbit hole quick.

None of the "TWENTY THOUSAND" are any good, so clearly this product isn't for you.
