Meh Wellbots has probably some of the worst support I have seen. I bought a few Ugreen powerbanks from them and they had so many issues. Wellbots was useless.
They also seem to carry items that are about to be discontinued. Good luck with warranty on GENDOME. I assure you they wont be around in 5 years. Look at their site they barely make any products.
I learned my lesson, buy a brand name one. Something like Ecoflow.

I couldn't find the external batteries, I couldn't even find the cables for this...so I contacted Gendome.
They never released either the batteries or the cables, so if you ever want to expand it's 3072wh...you have to hack those proprietary 2 connectors to something standard.

I contacted Gendome, the external batteries to upgrade the 3072wh capacity...even the cables to connect them...were vaporware...they never released them. Gendome bailed on this when it was still new on the market. If they had sold just the proprietary cables, could of hacked those to a standard server rack battery easily...but with not even cables available...you need to tear apart those 2 connectors to add anything to this.

Think it's reliable enough to trust it for a sump pump backup?

This was my exact thought. I wonder how long it could run my two sumps for. I currently have two UPS 1500 PC backups in case my power goes out and would use one for each sump pump but I'm not sure they would work and or how well they would work.

Can it be configured to avoid super peak rate from the energy provider?

There's scheduled charging in the app but I just use smart plug instead.

Is this worth it with the understanding it's probably good for at best 5 years? I feel the tech is moving fast enough, or at least getting cheap enough, that when the time comes to replace this thing I'd want to anyway

Crazy cheap, but only rated for 2,500 cycles to 80% ? Must be older battery tech. Most newer ones advertise 4,000 cycles. Hard to beat that price though...

That's not relevant to this item, in that case. There are brands that are more reliable and those that are less. Even different items in a brand's lineup will have different reliability.

I've seen good reviews and also customer reports on forums for this particular power station.

Yes, but I use a timer plug. Or a smart plug also works.

Just keep in mind that you should expect about 80-85% charge/discharge efficiency when using this, and that's without inverter losses.

So I would use this if you consume a lot of power each day, then the unit can pay for itself very quickly if the peak rates have a big difference from the off-peak rates
