It's a bit dated, but it is DOCSIS 3.0 which is fine for cable speeds.

At 6 bucks, you could turn off the Wifi and plug in a modern AP and have a pretty good network.

Max speed is low less than 500mbps. Some providers wont be able to push 400 on these just check compatability before purchasing. These will also be phased put when dociss 3.0 is sunset. Good for temporary use if your speeds are less than 400.

i recommend having redundant hardware if you work from home. I had a power supply die on my main unit , and switching to a 15 y/o model still got me limping along at lower speeds. Spare cable modem, spare router . You never know.

DOCSIS 3.0 is good for about 420Mbps. I have Spectrum and they offer 600Mbps at my tier, but my modem is the bottleneck here. I should be getting 50% more bandwidth for the $100/mo I'm spending, but it hasn't been a problem. Also, I'm not going to use their junk hardware.

Good for backup if the current modem goes down. Other than that, this is pure e-waste.

Most people who live alone don't need gigabit speed.

I own one of these and your mileage may vary when it comes to the operability of using one of these. The 5.0 GHz band for some reason has disappeared and won't come back, smh... I've also had intermittent disconnections which could be due to user error since I had been connected via WiFi at the time, but just wanted to get that out there to bring more awareness.
