Think this is a great deal. There is a sale going on for the kit that includes battery and charger for $239, but given the 40v 4ah battery typically goes for $80 on sale (or you can find trimmer with battery kit for $80 sometimes), this is a great price for just the tool.

If it has the same motor as the 20", it's a beast of a saw. Haven't used my gas chainsaw for two years now

I believe the 20" has a better motor, but this is plenty capable for 16".

You will need a couple batteries. The chainsaw kills a fully charged battery in ~15 minutes of big cuts. If you have a full day of felling, I would look at a gas saw. For a casual DIYer this works just fine.
