Journey stands out as a short, artistic adventure with memorable social play and a soundtrack that leaves a strong impression. The game is praised as a masterpiece, with simple exploration, chirp only multiplayer, and moments of unexpected emotional weight. Beyond Two Souls also gets strong praise as excellent and easily worth its low price. Sackboy A Big Adventure is highlighted as a top tier 3D platformer with standout design, presentation, gameplay, and music, while Under the Waves is flagged as intriguing at the listed price.

Common Questions (4)

  • Journey is a short, simple game that many find a masterpiece and one of their favorites, even years after release. It also has a unique multiplayer system with no voice or text chat, only chirps, which makes the experience memorable.

  • Journey includes anonymous multiplayer, but there is no communication beyond your character chirping. You can travel with a stranger through the whole game, and the social moments are part of what makes it stand out.

  • Beyond: Two Souls is described as excellent and easily worth it at a little over a dollar. The low price makes it an easy pickup if you want a story-driven game.

  • Sackboy: A Big Adventure is a 3D platformer in the style of Super Mario 3D World. It is praised for strong design, presentation, gameplay, and soundtrack.

Looks cool. Too bad it's PlayStation exclusive. Maybe it'll come to PC in a few years. Abzu is decent as well although it's not as good as Journey.

Weird that Persona 3 Reload on physical PS5 is cheaper than digital PC. How do those economics even work? Dumping inventory?

Journey is a fairly simple short game and easily one of my favorites. It's multiplier is strange as there is no communication except your character making chirps at each other. I played the whole game with some dude I never spoke to or knew who he was. Like minutes before the end he didn't make a jump an fell really far back but the game wouldn't let me go back for him. I screamed no as I watched him disappear. It made the ending all the more sad. Do yourself a favor and get it.

Yeah, I have the white cloak from the game. YEARS ago (back when it first released) and maybe still today(?), players would casually wait and just help others find all the cubes throughout the game. I wouldn't know where any of them were anymore.

You're totally right though. Hard to not sound like a shill here but it's true, these are fantastic deals.

If you like 3D platformers like super mario 3D world, then "Sackboy: A Big Adventure" is the one of the best games in that genre. Absolutely top notch in design, presentation and gameplay and soundtrack.
