Staples are stainless steel, so they won't rust out.

I purchased the Wrdlosy 200W version last summer for $29 to repair both of my huge trash cans. One had a broken lid and the other had large cracks on the sides.
My local waste company charges $100 per can to replace.

Depending on how skilled you are at fixing things, you probably don't want to start with a high-watt unit that can quickly burn through thin plastics.
Just like a 300w Solder Gun. Works great for experienced techs, but if you have never soldered before, it's better to start with a soldering pencil.

About the wattage, I think it's prudent to make sure you pay attention to what you are doing. I have no idea what power mine is, Amazon no longer sells it, but it's very easy to see what's happening so just pay attention and I think the wattage should not be a concern.
It looks like the output wattage is more. 100W vs 50W

And here is a 200W one for the same $20 (regular) price:

OP also lists the regular price wrong. It's 22, not 23. So this is a $2 off deal for a 50W tool, if you enjoy patiently waiting for every staple to get hot.

The cutter and the case it comes with are junk too. Try one of these for that perhaps:
