If you want to use latest automodder like Viva New Vegas u need ultimate edition from Steam or GOG.
This version won't let you upgrade using it.

This is only the base game without the DLC. I very much suggest getting the Ultimate Edition (which includes all the DLC) for $4.99. One of the best RPG experiences I've ever played.

Is it worth the $5 total price? I skipped it back in the day because I only liked isomorphic fallout and not fallout 3. But at $1 I was considering giving this a chance.

This game has much more in common with the classic Fallouts then Fallout 3. The Ultimate Edition is very much worth the price it's currently at.

Among the few games I've played and completed, I think that the bioshocks have been, to me, the most fun non-fps games I've played.

Are the fallout games kinda like bioshock?

Btw, Ive watched the series and think the show is really good, maybe even great.

The amount of additional content you are getting for $4 to upgrade is worth it 100%. It's an incredible game.

BioShock IS FPS though? But no, they're not really alike. Both are great games but different genres, BioShock is a shooter with some puzzle and light RPG elements. Fallout is a vast open world RPG with tons of side quests and mods.

Some of the best content is in the DLCs and that says a lot considering how good the FONV base game is. It's generally considered the best of the 3D Fallout games. That will come down to personal preference but Obsidian has much better writing than Bethesda.

Good comments. Get the ultimate edition, use instructions at Viva New Vegas to install mods (I used Wabbajack and installed VNV vanilla mods). Makes it so much better, and it's fully playable and enjoyable on my ROG Ally

One of my favorite games! So many memories playing this on Xbox 360, but never with mods since it wasn't supported. Will definitely pick up the ultimate edition. Thanks op!
