This is a nice cam for $9--speaking from experience, I bought a few in mid-February.

I was about to get a few but saw this in a review: "There is no Onvif / RTSP Support at all. Not in the App, and not via accessing the IP Directly from a browser or a camera application. So you are forced to use the app if you want to view the streams live, and you can't add these cameras to an existing security setup."

So can't add to HA or any other existing DIY setup

I have 8 of these that are active and using their app without any issues. Extremely pleased with the video and picture quality, especially for $8.99, even bought 8 more as backups. The only thing that's not a big deal but a little tricky, is getting the micro SD cards to intially snap into place. I found the plastic top of a bic pen can help push them in quick and easy

What do you expect for $9 cameras? They want you to install their app so it can call back overseas and harvest user data

Bigger problem these days is cost of storage rather than camera itself

I have a couple tapo cameras. I like them for what they are. I also have the LaView light bulb replacement cams that use the laview app that is a constant pia with all the adverts for cloud storage. I do not use the follow motion detection. It will follow the subject all the way right or left but will not recenter its self . So you cant really say have it pointed at a door and expect to see who goes in and out of the door because the camera went all the way right or left and stays there untill something triggers it .. I hate that app and camera.

Any one know if the app is trialware and will the camera recenter its self after a bit of time?
