NordVPN Basic here is mainly a long term VPN extension that stacks cleanly onto existing subscriptions, including Plus accounts, and the activations can be redeemed separately under one Nord account. The strongest praise is for stability and ease of use, with solid speeds on some setups and working streaming access for services like Japanese Netflix and Apple TV abroad. Torrenting guidance points to Nord P2P servers, though SOCKS5 and Mac split tunneling are reported broken or missing. A few orders were canceled or lost the coupon, so the deal depends on checkout and activation working smoothly.
NordVPN Basic can stack onto an existing Nord subscription end date, extending total coverage time.
NordVPN activation can stack even when purchasing multiple codes, including separate Newegg orders under one Nord account.
NordVPN Basic is easy to use and can work smoothly for everyday VPN needs.
NordVPN can work for streaming in other countries, including Japanese Netflix during the WBC.
NordVPN Basic only covers the VPN portion for devices, while NordVPN Complete adds extra features like spam-call notifications.
NordVPN can trigger streaming account prompts on Apple TV, including messages about US accounts and being out of town.
NordVPN can be very slow for some users, with reported speed drops on their setup.
SOCKS5 reportedly can be broken for extended periods, and guidance advises avoiding NordVPN for bittorrent purposes.

Regarding SPAM calls which are tough to deal with. Google Pixel's call screening is phenomenal and has basically prevented all SPAM calls from reaching me.

Speeds on all USA servers has absolutely cratered from 35MB/sc to 7MB/sec. With Nord or Proton I am getting 70MB/sec! The speeds didn't bother me though in as much as the unreliability. If you're on a Mac, kiss your computer goodbye. You will crash, kernel panic, and hard lock your computer constantly. Mark my words. It's all over the PIA reddit. I've sent them logs. I worked with PIAJohn (their senior engineer) and he couldn't figure it out.
Switched to Proton for 1 month ($1 deal) and was about to get a $2.50 a month deal for Proton until I saw the Nord deal and hopped on that instead. Got 1 year for $20 and now getting 2 more here for $38. So far Nord has been rock solid stable, though their app looks like shit. PIA's app was designed the best, compared to Proton & NordVPN, but it was just so damn unstable. PIA's split tunneling also disconnected your network connection permanently until you restarted.
Screw PIA. Even wrote Linus @ LinusTechTips a letter saying I am never trusting his recommendations ever again.
Why? I've had it for years and no issues. What problems have you had?

Do you all use it to just browse the web every day use, or for sketchy websites or torrenting etc? I just wanted to watch Netflix in other countries but it gave me errors before with Proton thenm another day it works.

Be aware that ProtonVPN's split tunneling doesn't work on Mac either.
PIA's split tunneling on mac will crash your computer hard.
If you're expecting split tunneling for Mac, forget it.
