specs looked good until I read neg. reviews which point to 2 serious issues:
1. physical issues with plug loose/detaching cable = poor PC connection worse over time
2. data transfer drop-outs - hub unable to sustain data transfers, sometimes disconnecting some ports

on the positive side, 80W PD from 100W max is pretty good considering that covers most portables, including higher-end power hungry laptops

mostly Win1#, couple MacOS - tho it seems like host OS not relevant with issues originating w/in the hub (1. tolerances, 2. hub fw/hw)
