I have this and don't have any qualms with it. I've only ever used this one though so I have nothing to compare it to

Got this when it was recently at this price. Excellent deal - essentially new. I loved playing around it. Plan to use it on a project soon.

I can't hammer a nail straight for the life of me. Going to finally get my first nail gun. I hope 18gauge should suffice for me

No, for two reasons. One, the nails used for siding have a large(ish) head, and brad nails that this fires don't. Two, siding nails need to be left out a little bit to allow the siding to expand and contract. That requires some finesse, but a nail gun only knows "SINK IT DEEP!"

I haven't used this specific gun - but in general, 18ga are my goto for all around uses. Strong enough for casing and trim, nails come in decent lengths, and heads aren't too much to hide. Love my pin nailer, but it's just holding stuff temporarily. 18ga + glue can hold just about anything non-structural.

I have dewalt 20V system. Therefore I have bunch of dewalt 20V batt. Is there an adapter I can buy to use the dewalt batteries with this? Thank you.

I'm in DeWalt also. The brad nailer we have doesn't consistently spin up when we try to use it, plus it's very top heavy.
Considering this Ryobi as something more consistent and a bit less top heavy (since it uses a gas cylinder instead of flywheel)

Thank you! So, just curious, no harm using a 20v for 18v tool? I'm assuming there's circuit board that prevents 20volts from going to Ryobi (or step down transformer makes the 20v to a safe 18v) ? I think I'm gonna buy it. Thanks again.

May have to get this nailer. Project coming up and I don't feel like dragging a hose all over the hose.
