Can anyone with personal experience compare this to the previous generation (plug in rear)? I have that fan and frankly like it and went with it for the LSA. Ended up getting a second in fact.

These are great units. I have two of them. I paid around $70 with a 2ah battery/charger. I usually run these with the 4ah batteries though. Lasts a long time.

I prefer the rear plug fan. I bought one of these since my young daughter always had the other one at the table to cool her food. I figured I would just let her keep the old one but after trying it I just let her have this style. I like the adjustment on the old style and the power knob being Easier to use one handed. But this one does work just fine.
