For one thing, it's not ad-infested like the majority of new Kindles and Amazon is very user-hostile with their policy of not allowing you to own the books you license from them. Yes, license. Not buy.

A cheap paperwhite from woot and jailbreak is another option. Can do everything this do except color :-)

I've got the b&w. Really glad I didn't wait for a new oasis. Thinking about a second for the kid. He is on a 6 inch kindle. Kind of want to try the one from Onyx Boox but $290!
