Looks like it's going to fly across the room and attach itself to your face!

In the 60s, transistors were expensive, 4 and 6 were thecommon count in hand held radios.
Sometimes you would see a radio at places like, fictional name here, Crazzzy Harry Radio Emporium, with 8, 10 transistors, at give away prices.
"How do we do it!"
Well you did get a radio with 10 transistors in it but only six of them would be wired up and working, the other just soldered to traces on the board that were not powered up.
And I'm guessing they probably had a lot of fallouts when they went to test the transistor? They were expensive to produce so what do you do, dump them to back closet radio manufacturer?
Part of the transistor worked, do they would wire these in as a diode.
So you legally got your 10 transistors, but 4 couldn't amplify anything.
I once purchased this impressive looking antenna that was probably 8 foot long, 3 in high, it was plastic light outer case.
It got crushed in half by our local post office service, it jumped into the conveyor belt, so I got it in two parts, delivered about 4 days apart each half.
All it was, was a thin wire loop antenna embed into piece of Styrofoam. You could made one for about five bucks. I think I paid $50.
So I have to agree with you this, Wi-Fi extender does look like it does something?

Does this actually work?

I have tried other ax1800/3000 outdoor units but none of them can hold the steady connection when I'm in the parking lot, about 150 feet away, somewhat in line of site (blocked by a few wooden posts)
