The Jamo S 810 is a compact budget subwoofer that gets praised for strong bass in small spaces and solid value around $99. It fits neatly behind an end table, works well for bedroom or apartment setups, and pairs nicely with Jamo bookshelf speakers for music. The bass is described as more satisfying for music than movies, with low end around 36 to 40 hertz. A recurring caveat is audible hum on some units, so the cheap price comes with some risk.
The subwoofer can work well for music in a bedroom setup with budget Jamo bookshelf speakers.
The subwoofer can be a better option than soundbar-style lifestyle subs for music at around the $99 price point.
The subwoofer can deliver strong low-end impact that can be felt across a room.
The subwoofer can fit in tight spaces behind an end table while still sounding great for its size.
The plate-amp value at about $100 can be questionable because it may lack factory EQ/DSP and power management features.
The subwoofer can produce audible humming around 80Hz even when powered but not connected to a source.
The humming can worsen when touching the amp and when connecting to the source, which suggests grounding or component issues.
The published 36Hz low-frequency figure can be misleading without a tolerance range, so real-world extension may differ.

+/- 3dB is the preferred spec, but +/- 6dB is also common. but don't compare a 3db to 6db spec against each other as they are still quite different responses.
also look at the THD as those can be very high with lower end subs.

This is just a cheap sub with cheap components and people should be aware of that.
