I have one but I'm not super knowledgeable on subs, works fine, if you are serious about home theater you wouldn't be looking at this one anyways

I bought two during the last deal. It's the best $100 sub.

A FR spec with no +/- range is meaningless. Literally every speaker made can meet that spec.

+/- 3dB is the preferred spec, but +/- 6dB is also common. but don't compare a 3db to 6db spec against each other as they are still quite different responses.

also look at the THD as those can be very high with lower end subs.

I dont understand parts express. Its expensive as hell to build a sub. Might as well go to SVS and just buy one.

I have one of these paired with the Jamo bookshelf speakers. Outstanding set up for the money.

I agree, the cost/benefit of DIY on subwoofers is so low

I bought one recently and it is decent. You get what you pay for. I find it does more for music than movies. I like it for $100.

FYI, I got this from previous deal and this junk is humming when on whatever I do (even when not connected to source, power only). It's around 80hz. If you don't care about that I guess it's fine, but keep in mind this sub is nothing but junk.

You could build a better sub for the same money as an svs. Obviously you would have to want to build one. Some people like that shit.

I have plenty of equipment in my house and this is the only one with this symptom. When I put my finger on the amp the ground becomes worse. Big Grin When I connect it to the source it's even worse than that. On the other hand, if I change cut off to something on higher end the hum lowers. But I don't need the sub with cut off at 180hz. Big Grin

This is just a cheap sub with cheap components and people should be aware of that.
