Good deal while it lasts for the next hour or so.

I use my blower mostly for clearing light snow in the winter. So much faster than a shovel or regular snowblower. I bought the 8ah battery a couple of months ago. It unbalances my blower badly, but lets me do the whole driveway with one battery.

This backpack blower should solve the balance issue and it really puts out some power. I'll likely be able to do up to 4" of light snow.

I have a regular hand held greenworks 60v blower with 3 batteries . Is this worth the upgrade?

What does your current setup not do well? Nobody can tell you if an upgrade will do what you need if you don't talk about what it is that you're hoping for.

My only complaint with the handheld is the strain on my arms, they are plenty powerful. Is this as good or better and will save my arms?

It'll move the weight to your back. It's one of the reasons I bought it.

Very tempting. I have the Milwaukee M18 single battery and lots of batteries. Works great but dies fast. For big jobs in the fall, I have lots of trees I have a hand held Makita 4-stroke, light, quiet and very powerful. Would this do an entire 1/4 acre yard? How many batteries would be needed? Thanks

I've been looking at this for a few years. I have the handheld one now and my arm gets tired blowing leaves. This will hopefully make it much easier.

The battery on this Kobalt looks very similar to the Greenworks. Does anyone know if they are compatible? I have all Greenworks batteries and tools right now.

Yes but you need to either grind down the battery or the tool where the battery goes.

I'm in the Greenworks 80v ecosystem, but had to take advantage of a slick deal on the Kobalt 80v self-propelled mower w/6Ah battery a few years ago. I wanted to leverage the bigger battery with my other tools, so I used a Dremel (held by drill press) to carve new grooves to match the GW form factor. Works brilliantly and even seems to have a bit more "umph" than my 2Ah GW's. If you have good GW batteries, you could do the same thing the other way.

I chose to mod the battery rather than the tools, as it was less work (easier access and my tools outnumber the batteries) and they have limited lifespan anyway.

I'm tempted by this deal, but my GW handheld is still plenty adequate. Not sure slightly more power and moving the weight to my back is worth it for me. Thumbs up anyway!

Too bad I'm already deep into the kobalt 40v system.
