The original bop-it was around $15-20. You could find them on sale for around $10-15. To answer your question, yes they were more expensive than this smaller version.

This was one of the few games my kids enjoyed for many years, and I actually had a lot of fun competing with them. So many kids games are just luck-based or plain silly.
