I cant count how many of these I've purchased through the years, and IF I'm lucky, id get a max of 2 years. It doesn't help living in the PNW where it pretty much rains all the time.
I've found that if you seal them up the best you can with silicon when they are new they last much longer.
I've sometimes opened them up when they are new, and swapped out for a much higher capacity, and then sealed them back up. Or, if the lights and solar panel still functions after a year or two, you might be able to swap out the battery and seal it back up.
