I have 4 of these and three of them don't turn on for more than 3 hours on dim. Either the charging system is bad or the batteries are duds. What pieces of shit. Also, do not believe the reviews. Some talk about customer support. There is none. Amazon is CS and they try to replace them, but it is definitely a hit or miss on the batteries or the charging system. For the initial charge, there is not usb-c. You will need sunlight to charge them and they take forever and like I said 3 out of 4 are duds.

These are a crapshoot and you get what you pay for. I bought 4 of these about 3 months ago. 2 of them failed within the first week. It's tempting to think that they're so cheap that it's worth the gamble... but you're gonna invest time setting them up and then a bunch of time trying to figure out if it's not working because you set it up incorrectly or if it's actually a dud. I recommend avoiding these.

I keep clicking on these solar LED light deals, just hoping for ones that actually hold up. I cant count how many of these I've purchased through the years, and IF I'm lucky, id get a max of 2 years. It doesn't help living in the PNW where it pretty much rains all the time. I've found that if you seal them up the best you can with silicon when they are new they last much longer. I've sometimes opened them up when they are new, and swapped out for a much higher capacity, and then sealed them back up. Or, if the lights and solar panel still functions after a year or two, you might be able to swap out the battery and seal it back up. Smilie
I was trying to find a premium model / company that sells these that has longevity but it doesn't even exist

I bought a similar (single) set from an SD several years ago. Do they mention what battery type they use? The one I got has 18650 batteries, (1500mAh), easily accessible, and I subbed the included ones out with a slightly heftier pair I had. It's worked flawlessly for over four years.
The one I picked up has a separate solar panel and a long cord. That makes it especially easy to mount. These look like the panels would limit how/where they mount. The remote panel makes it easy to mount the light in a section that doesn't get much sun, as long as the cord lets me place the panel in a sunny spot. Key, at the edge of the yard, on a section of fence under shade.
If anybody can tell me about the battery type, or at least the size claimed on the unit, I might have to pick these up.

These have a single 18650 (stamped 1800mAh) cell that's not particularly easy to reach. It requires unscrewing the LED panel. There is no weather sealing on any of the LED panels, but there is a channel to divert moisture around the panels and out a couple weep holes at the base of the enclosure. Not sure how long these would last in direct rain exposure as is, but potentially adding some silicone caulking would extend their useful lifespan. I haven't tested the solar output yet.

Edit/Update:

Looks like the output of the solar panel is about 2.11W in full sunlight. The battery in this should charge between 2-3.5hrs depending on the sun exposure and efficiency.

I have had 4 of these units for over two years in the Florida sun, and they still work well. I did not install them for security. I installed them so that we can safely walk around our house in the dark. They are set up to seamlessly illuminate as you walk around.

This is a fantastic deal! does anyone know how the motion sensor performs in areas with heavy foliage or trees? Would love to hear about real-world experiences!

The slick deal for these were fire https://a.co/d/0dCQhHk2. $16 something before tax for 2. I'd highly recommend them if they went back on sale.....they have 4500 lumens vs the 3500 lumens offered here
