This Scott's is (in theory) better quality mulch.
The equivalent of the stuff Lowe's has @ $2/bag is HD's Vigoro brand. That said, the quality of Vigoro AND Lowe's 'sta-green' varies because there isn't just one big plant that makes/distributes it all - it's regional.

Same with Menards, 2 cu ft for 2$. I use their mulch regularly and its of pretty decent quality.

HD has shrunk there bags from 2cf to 1.5cf. So their deal of 5 for 10 now =7.5CF for $10. Lowes 4 for 10 of 2CF is better. $10 for 8CF.

Scott's Color Stay 2.0 cu ft from tractor supply is the best if you can get it for 1/2 price ($2.50) per bag. I'm waiting for that deal. It's far superior mulch!
