Great, I've been waiting for a deal on one of these. If you go for the $187.97 bundle with the charging block included, you can apply a 20% off discount when you trade in an amazon device.

I usually see the trade-in option. Not this time. Curiouser and curiouser.

The number of people who don't know what this device is for in this thread is at least 2.
For the record, it's like the regular kindle, except it has colors. It's not an iPad or Tablet. Thanks for coming to my Ted talk. The more you know.

so, it's color? it's just an under-performing "I"-pad then?
It still has much longer battery life, and doesn't have all the distraction from iPad. It may be a good choice for someone who reads a lot of comics or do a lot of reading under sunlight.

That said, personally I choose (and have chosen) iPad mini over color eink, speaking as someone who owns two Kindle readers. The colors are much better, and it's more versatile. I use "regular" Kindle for reading.

Can this display pdf files? Can you use calibre to add your books to it?

Thanks. I was wondering what the purpose of these would be with tablets being pretty much perfected these days.

Arguably the biggest difference is that this is an e-ink screen, which means it's almost like reading paper, it can be read in direct sunlight with no glare or problem, and the screen only uses power when it changes.

Grab these from Best buy for 169. Great for kids without the distraction of games in regular tab.
