How's real world water resistance when swimming open water. Samsung says it is, but a lot of ppl saying watch didn't survive.
I've had mine for 9 months and worn it for at least 10 hours of ocean swimming, splashing and shallow diving. It's seen a good bit of showering as well. ZERO water ingress issues.
It's basically the same software between the two devices. The Bip doesn't have a barometer though so it won't as accurately track elevation gain (nor do I think that is an available field on the device itself, but I could be wrong)
Otherwise the Bip has slightly better battery and a square design.
Hmm. Cool. Likely a darn fine watch. But- I am so hooked on Garmin's battery life & flashlight. I could not go back! It does "less" smartphone stuff, but that's great. We need to phone-detox!
Battery life should be comparable to the Forerunner 165/ Vivoactive series which is the level it is competing against. As far as flashlights are concerned, there is a mode to use the screen as a torch, but similar to Garmin, only the higher end TRex series from amazfit currently has that feature.

I love the look of it so I ordered one. I wanted to like this but too small. Felt feminine. Ended up giving to my wife. She liked it for a few days but cannot break from her Garmin of 5 yrs.

Good deal. I wish Amazfit had some kind of trade in even for their own watches. I have used Bip , GTR3 , GTS (still going strong). They just keep working and for the price it works very well.

I had mine for 3 months and worked great with no water contact initially. After a trip to Florida with 3 days swimming in a pool/lazy-river, with a few trips down the water slide, the touch screen on the watch stopped responding. It came back after one reboot, but then it happened again and never responded. Initiated a warranty return and went through all the amazfit steps to fix but none worked. Took a couple weeks of back and forth on this troubleshooting before they provided shipping label to return, and I now have a functioning replacement that I will NOT be taking into the water.
