Sounds like a great UPS, but was wondering if today's power banks have crossed into UPS territory in a significant way. For example, a 2048ah power bank with < 12ms transfer time was posted for $499. This could extend the backup/run time by 2+ hours. Important note: will also need a good surge suppressor ✌️😀

That makes total sense, as an IT professional, I definitely see the appeal of that massive 2048Wh runtime for the price. However, since the 12ms transfer time is right at the limit for most server power supplies, I'm sticking with APC units to ensure an instant, seamless handoff for my rack gear. Or am I missing something?

I also understand that in the end, three would be a massive battery to handle longer blackout periods. It would also be a link that if it fails It would/could bring us down.

For my home, I use an EcoFlow which has 10ms trans time and I haven't noticed any issues when the power goes out.
