Herman Oak or Horween U.S.A tanneries. My oldest belt was made in 1940. I prefer to support my local saddle or tack maker.

False advertising.... these are not leather and bone of these types of belts are. I bought many different brands too. These usually last 8-12 months tops too.

I can not find a place on the check out page to add the discount code. Any suggestions?
checking out - go to Change Payment Method and look for the box for the code. It won't show discount until you click through to the end.

I bought these belts in the past promo. Buying another one as a gift. These belts are a game-changer. Our bellies change in size slightly as we eat and move around. The extra settings are very nice. Especially this belt because it smells like leather and is thick.
Yes, I switched to this type years ago. It's great being able to adjust it easily, even in public: No unbuckling necessary. And you get precise adjustment.

How did the non-Anson ratchet belts typically break (e.g., the strap surface would peel, the buckle would fall off, the ratchet mechanism wouldn't hold in place anymore, etc) and how long did the non-Anson ratchet belts typically last (e.g., "2-3 months of daily wear")?
I don't know about his experience, but I bought my first ratchet belts (not this brand), which had awesome buckles, but the belts themselves were almost like cardboard, and ripped themselves off the buckle. Even trimming them and putting then back in would deteriorate very quickly.

I bought some quality replacement ratchet belts (no buckle), and I've been using the original buckles with the high quality replacement belts for many years. I only had to re-glue the belt at the ratchet area on one belt after several years, where it had separated, and it's been fine ever since. The other is still fine with no issues.

A good ratchet belt, buckle and band, should last many years. I have a new one of this brand, but haven't started using it yet because the others are still fine.

I did have one buckle completely fail, but the strap flaking and peeling was my usual final straw. When that starts happening, to the trash with ye! I probably averaged about 4 months each. With the Anson, shooooot, I'm over two years and counting. Looks and feels better too. Real vs fake.

Nice. In for two sets. There was also a $2 coupon that became $2.40 for two that stacked on top of the OP's coupon. These types don't last that long but are just so much better to wear than a standard belt

I have these and like them... if you order them too big, you can shorten them.

I'm not the person you quoted but I've had a few of these fail. The usual failure point for me is the leather (or "leather"?) cracking where it frequently bends. It still works in a pinch, but when that happens it's time to order another cheap belt. Usually lasts 3+ years.

Thanks!

How often are you wearing the belt before the failure at 3+ years? Daily? Once a week? Just a few times/year for special occasions?
