FWIW, if you're interested in running local LLM AI, this thing will do it quite well. qwen3.5:35b-a3b should run around 60+ tokens per second, and 48GB is enough ram to keep it loaded continuously with plenty to spare for 'everything else' (virtualization, IDEs, video encoding, browser with a hundred tabs, whatever..)

Don't count on any deep discounts for 64GB+ any time soon. 48GB is as high as the 'standard' configurations go. 64GB and higher is 'special order'.

No.

Many people will be fine with a Neo. This isn't the computer or deal for them. Saying the Neo exists is like telling people who are going to an animal shelter to adopt a dog that gerbils exist and are less expensive to care for than a dog.
