In the exploded picture it looked like an ESP module so i check the FCCID and the internal images do indeed show a ESP8684-WROOM-03. I believe it's a 2Mb flash version but Tasmota should work on it. I'm in for a pair to see.

Wait, is there a way to reflash these? Do you simulate an OTA upgrade?

Don't know for sure. If it is an esp8684 then yes. OTA, maybe. Serial flash, definitely. I can't say for sure until i get it open. I'm not holding my breath that it actually has an ESP inside. Chinese manufacturers loves to cheapen things after getting the FCC approved.

I guess if they stop support for the app, you're SOL.
