Game is totally there. Graphics take a hit on Switch.

Fantastic, albeit shorter game. I have replayed, because it's great, but there's not really anything to gain from doing so other than enjoying the playthrough again.

I never did get into those safes or find all the memories .. maybe I should play again.

Don't get locked into a low powered system. Outside of Nintendo IPs there is not a great reason to play on switch. Checking cheapshark this game is around $14 on PC. I don't have a handheld, but the steamdeck is a fine choice. The ROG Ally X is something I've been looking at. Panther Lake should be great for handhelds when they come out. Or you just play on the laptop or desktop you already have. I bought a Firebat A6 mini pc for close to $200. It has a 6800h with 680m igpu which might be more powerful than the switch GPU. Just Google "680m vs tegra X1"

I agree with you except that for many people Switch is their best way to play the game portably. Yes, it runs significantly better on Steam Deck / ROG Ally but about 20x more people have a Nintendo Switch and the Switch Lite is still in a league of its own in terms of portability and you can pick one up for almost nothing. And the Switch port was done quite well ... for a lot of people that's "good enough."

By the way if you're wondering how it runs on Rog Ally X. At 15 watts you can do 1080p (upscaled from a smaller render scale) high settings at 60 fps. That'll give you about 4 hours battery life.

The Switch version in handheld mode runs in 720p (possibly with dynamic resolution?) with lowered settings at 30 frames per second. Obviously a lot worse but not bad at all for 9 year old hardware ...

long time gamer here, I truly enjoyed this game, it was something different, interesting, beautiful. so if you play this you must also watch "Flow".
