Aliexpress has one set of adapters to become a led light. But i am skeptical would work as the lego piece of the bulb is a thick plastic with a gap in the middle.

No.
There are lighting kits on Amazon though. They're not all the same so recommend using Reddit or reading reviews to find one you like the most. Also, they're a tad difficult to build with often.

I mostly agree. It makes for some cool sets but they almost become one time use and then put on display removing the replay factor and even if I bin out all the parts the custom pieces can be difficult to incorporate or good luck trying to rebuild from instructions finding all the right pieces after binning them all out.
