I have a 3 device license and I always swap devices. All I have to do is login and remove the device you don't want to use anymore from the list

In my several decades of life, I have yet to find anything advertised as lifetime that actually is lifetime. There's bankruptcy or just going out of business or changing the terms or coming up with an updated program that ends up retiring the lifetime app or subscription. Or a company gets bought out and that ends anything lifetime

Pro tip, you can add their list as your DNS for Android.

As others have discussed, lifetime varies on just how long it lasts. I would say see what Ad Guard cost for the same amount of devices for a year. Compare it to this advertised "lifetime" price. If it is a deal for you great. For example if a year is $15 and buying this for $13 gets you one year then you roughly broke even. If it keeps going and you like the service then you are gaining for having the "lifetime" purchase.

Can it block ads from YouTube ads on Android?
PipePipe from the F-Droid repository is the way to go. No ads, ever.

I've got this from a previous deal.

Can't use the app on Android phones. Still works on some Android TV versions. iOS is limited to Safari browser. Windows app works well.

I think they're moving towards getting people to start using their paid DNS service which works by giving you a unique DNS address to their servers. There's a free version that's limited to 300,000 queries a month, which may be enough for one device, but not more.
Works great on Android, removing ads from apps as well as browsers.

I got a similar AdGuard Family lifetime deal via Stack Social 5 years ago for $21. Still going strong. Works great on Android. Once in a while a site doesn't behave, but does after turning AdGuard off, but it's rare. Awesome getting no ads on freemium apps. Highly recommended.

Drains battery on my android phone. Not sure if there's anything we can do to prevent this from happening.

It doesn't work for directly blocking YouTube ads on IOS, you'd need to hit Share, and send the video to be opened in the AdGuard app to play the video without ads.

I have used it on my android phone daily for 2+years. As someone else mentioned, occasionally a website won't load (especially adidas links from slickdeals.net) and I have to turn it off but that's about it. This is a must if you sail the seven seas for watching live sports.

I bought a dozen Malwarebytes lifetime subscriptions for $5 during a huge sale many many yeas ago. They are still in business and the licenses are still good.

Although it supports desktops, I wouldn't recommend it since there are better options like ublock origin that you mentioned. However, it is a good option for mobile devices since it's effective against ads in browsers and apps.
I run Brave browser with Malwarebytes, uBlock origin & AdGuard extensions. No slowdown on my i7-12700K or 9800x3d machines.

I jumped on this train many years ago, definitely over 5 years now. It's a good product, here is how I use it.

- Windows: no use, Firefox + ublock origin is superior
- Any mobile device: great use. I believe it works at the DNS level, so it should work with all browsers.
- Mac: good use, one of the better options for Safari (and IMO you should be using Safari)
