I missed that when I ordered, for $10 not worth the return hassle. I do order the like-new often just be aware at least on some products you lose the factory warranty and just get 30 days from Amazon. Got burned on that once but overall it's been worth it.

Didn't know that. Any way you can tell if you lose the warranty with the open box stuff?

Can't afford Bissell even when they on sale now. My Dirt Devil Steam Cleaner broke and I hardly use it. $50 to clean my never been cleaned carpet.

My hunch is they all lose it, maybe someone can confirm. As I've been paying attention all the ones I've seen list the 30 Amazon return period. For the product I had an issue with both Amazon and the manufacturer told me these sales are not new and do not have the manufacturer warranty.

There was just a little disclaimer there that said something like "Extra 15% applied at checkout". There wasn't anything to check off or anything. It was just automatically applied. Maybe it's gone now?
