Do these frequently arrive cracked or crack the glass soon after arrival like the old generation?

I was just telling someone the day before yesterday, they should hold out for when the brand new ones come down to $200. That was fast.

Not a bad price for new. I just bought this from the refurbished listing and it showed up looking brand new. I'd go that route and save $40

I don't know if its a frequent issue, but I bought 2 in the past when they went on sale for this price, and they were both flawless. I've been waiting for them to hit $200 again,to pick up 2 more. 880 watts of solar should be enough to charge my Pecron 3kWh power station from zero to full within a single day, or 4 to 5 hrs of good sun. Kind of excited about it. That's a good amount of useable power.

Ehh, You got lucky but it's still a risk because the description literally has a disclaimer stating "Item may have larger scratches or dents .May be missing parts, accessories, or packaging" meaning you have nothing to stand on if you get a scratched or beat up panel. For me personally, paying an extra $40 is worth the peace of mind knowing I'm going to get a new & flawless panel.

do those thin film flexible panels that you can hang like drapes ever go on sale

I like how portable and light they look even if lesser output

Newb solar guy. What else do you need to make these work? Inverter? Battery?

Have 2 of these connected to a delta 2 for almost 2 years. I have seen the delta showed above 440w input on a sunny summer afternoon a few times.

It can vary greatly depending on where you live. Google Solar irradiance map. These types of maps will show you how much solar energy your area gets. You can finds one that'll show you exactly how many kWh you can expect per sq foot in your location. You might be surprised to learn how vast the differences can be depending on where you live. To give you a real world scenerio, I have 4 hundred watt panels on my van. , In SE Idaho during the summer on a sunny day, I get around 225-275 watts, but in San Diego on a sunny day, I'll see close to 350. Point of the story is, it doesn't matter what somebody else tells you how much a panel produces unless you are set up in the same exact part of the country as they are. I own 2 of these panels and in Idaho, I'm geting a good 150-160 watts per panel. I havent used them in SD but based on my experiences with other panels, I would expect close to 200w or maybe more in that part of the country.

I get about 160 watts per panel from mine but I live in SE Idaho and the solar irradiance here is very low. Somewhere else I believe 200 plus is a realistic number to get. For reference, I only get around 65ish watts from my other brand 100w fixed panels here in Idaho.
